Our Pastor Is Dave Weiss. Dave spent most of his career as an artist and graphic designer. He got the call to ministry in 1997. He often incorporates art and creativity in his messages. Dave is a staunch believer in helping and empowering people to use their God-given gifts to serve the Lord and others. Dave is the author of several books on creativity and creative ministry and loves to do cartooning in his spare time.
Dave is married to Dawn, who teaches a ministry for women at the church and leads our contemporary music. Dave and Dawn have two sons, Chris a teacher and Brandon, a farmer. They also have a wonderful daughter in law, Stacy, and one grandson, David. Dave is a graduate of the Brethren Academy for Ministerial leadership and recently received a doctoral
degree in creative ministry from Kingdom Bible College and Seminary in Virginia.
In addition to his ministry here at Springfield, Pastor Dave has an art and speaking ministry called AMOKArts.com where he uses art to communicate the Gospel, help the church minister to creatives and help creative people find their place in the church.
