Springfield Church of the Brethren is a long established church, having just recently celebrated our 150th anniversary here in Springfield Township Bucks County, but we’re more than just an old church. Our worship is a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary music, centered on God’s word with preaching that is both biblical and relevant to our lives today.
We’re a smaller church and we realize this means we can’t do everything so we have chosen to do a few things and do them well. We have frequent outreach events for our community, Bible studies, an annual mission trip and we are open to trying new things. Basically we want to empower our congregation to use their gifts to bless others and show the love of Jesus.
Ultimately the church is the people, not the building and our people are friendly and loving. There is a very real sense of family here, but of course there is always room for one more. If you’re looking for a church where you can belong, come to faith, grow in your faith and use your gifts to make a difference, we think this may be the church for you. There’s nobody perfect here. We’re just people that love Jesus and who are trying to live to honor Him. Jesus said they will know you are my disciples [a word that means “followers”] by the way you love one another.
